Construction projects invariably take longer and cost much more than expected. We are developing a line of RFID-enabled smart tools that will increase the efficiency and productivity of the construction industry. On 11/22, we will debut the first product in this line: a RFID-enabled miter saw called the SeeSaw.

A group of five Berkeley graduate students have teamed up to develop a revolutionary new product, the “SeeSaw.” Our team’s mission is to create RFID-enabled tools that increase the efficiency and productivity of the construction industry. This Fall, we developed a prototype of the first product in this new line of tools – a RFID-enabled miter saw called the SeeSaw. The core markets for SeeSaw are commercial and residential home construction companies who act as general contractors in building large developments. The SeeSaw will be most appealing to the project manager of a large construction project who wants to be able to better track and manage the materials usage at construction sites.
